Double Dorje Pendant

$250.00

The Dorje came to Tibetan Buddhism through Hinduism. The Vajra is the symbol of Vajrayana Buddhism, also known as the Diamond Way. In Sanskrit, the Dorje is called Vajra, meaning thunderbolt or diamond. The double cross (dorje) is known as the Vishvavajra.

The Vajra can destroy but cannot be destroyed, representing spiritual power and termination of ignorance.

Each part of the Dorje has different meanings. The two spheres joined together in the middle, represents the two sides of the brain. In addition, two Dorjes are forged with one another emanating the symbol often used as a seal of closure.

The double Dorje is a reminder of the indestructibility of knowledge.
